FY Long Island is a misnomer. This blog is not, nor was it ever intended to be, a blog about bands from Long Island in general. It’s a blog that is primarily about Brand New and the bands they’re friends with, so a name was chosen that was unspecific to any one band. That’s also why you see a lot of Manchester Orchestra here even though, yes, we know they aren’t from Long Island.
